Artist Statement
We are surrounded at every moment by the swirling energies of Life, from which we emerge and into which we will soon merge again. Human incarnation is an opportunity to explore and express the mystery and majesty of the Universe and join in its never-ending creative dance. We are not and cannot ever be separate from the living essence of the Universe, but are expressions of it. We are spirits in the sacred vessels of bodies who come to this place to celebrate the sensual beauty of existence. These ideas are the central inspiration to my art. My paintings of flowers attempt to echo the colors and sculptural forms of natures most beautiful organs of reproduction. My nudes explore the expressiveness of the human body and frequently tell stories about people, their relationships, joy, humor, inner world, spirituality and other aspects of this dance of life.

What we were before we came,
What we remain today,
And what we'll be when we have gone,
Is,in truth,       Nothing......
    Except.....
Gently pulsating cohesive concentrations
   of concious quickened light,
Stopping here for one long moment
  to dress and dance
    our own delight
       in glorious garments and gems
formed from the dust of stars,
Which, without our constant care,
   fall quickly into disarray,
      disintegrate and disappear
          into the earth again,
but which, should we forget
   our own unending essence,
Begin to seem our only selves,
And frighten us so greatly with their fragility
That we refuse to fully know
The pleasure for which we put them on.

Awake, Arise and be Alive,
See, Smell, Feel, Taste, Hear,
The Swirling Joy we've come to know
Is always Now,
Is Here.
Let us not lose this chance to dance
In worry that our gown is worn
   or not the current style,
We came
   not to compete
      or even to compare
For what we Are
   is not these robes
But Life Itself in Love.
